Jazzy Blues – Soul – R ‘n’ B
Motown

The band was formed when Uta Boundy said Kim had better get his ass out of her backroom, leave his tape recordings and to go to some blues jams. “Sod that, I don’t like these guys, they’re idiots” I said. Then I got fired up, so off we went.

“I can do better than this”, I thought, so the band was born around 1996, with a schedule centred around jam sessions run by the skeleton staff of Kim Ludman guitar/vocals, Colin Fox bass/vocals, Mike Parker drums, Adam Jones piano/vocals and various sax players.

A typical weekend would feature a Saturday evening gig at ‘The Hope & Anchor’ behind ‘The Camden Palace’, a Sunday lunchtime at ‘The Village’ in Dalston and a Sunday evening session at ‘The Queen’s Pub in Crouch End, followed by 2 days in recovery.

Amazingly the band got better and better and 1200 gigs down the line, at a couple of hundred venues, it’s all
holding together with some gigs on in London and some on the South coast.

Despite the sad loss of Uta Boundy at Christmas 2007, the band continues in no small part as a tribute to her
inspiration.

‘And Hey, we like to party!’
